Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu [1,300m]

As you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will get greeted by the representative of Himalayan Frozen Adventure. He/she will take you to the hotel that we have already booked for you in the advance. You get informed about the evening plan with some spare time to relax.

To welcome you, the company has organized a traditional welcome dinner along with cultural dance. You will meet with other team members over dinner and end the day with lots of laughter.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Drive Pokhara [830m, 7–8 hrs]

Our Trekking guide will come to pick you up the hotel at 6:30 in the morning. We start our journey by tourist bus at 7:30 from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Phewa Lake is a natural beauty gift for Pokhara, where we can see amazing Machapuchare and Annapurna at northside, Dhaulagiri at the west, and Manaslu in the east. Overnight we stay at the Lakeside Hotel.

Day 03: Pokhara to drive Nayapul & trek to Ulleri [2050m,6 hours trek]

After having breakfast, you take a short scenic drive to Nayapul. From Nayapul, you begin trekking towards Ulleri. The trail goes through lush forests, crossing Bhurungdi Khola on a bridge. Passing by Tikhedhunga, you continue ascending towards Ulleri village.

Day 04: Ulleri to Ghorepani [2750m, 4–5 hours]

Leaving Ulleri behind, you ascend through lush forests of rhododendron and small villages to reach Ghorepani village. Ghorepani is a beautiful village surrounded by hills and lovely forests. You get to see stunning views of Annapurna South, Mt. Nilgiri, and many other snow-capped peaks from this village.

Day 05: Ghorepani to Tadapani with a visit to Poon Hill [2700m, 6–7 hours]

You wake up early in the morning and hike to Poon Hill from where you get to witness gorgeous sunrise along with the western Himalayan mountains. After spending some time at the viewpoint, you drop down to Ghorepani and have breakfast. Further, the trail descends through lush forests and small villages to Tadapani.

Day 06: Tadapani to Chhomrong [2170m, 6 hours]

You will descend steeply through another beautiful rhododendron forest. Passing by a Gurung village, Gurjung you will reach Chhomrong for a night stay. The trail offers stunning landscape views.

Day 07: Chhomrong to Bamboo [2310m, 4–5 hours]

From Chhomrong, you walk on stone steps and reach Chhomrong Khola. Crossing a suspension bridge, you ascend to Sinuwa. Further, the trail passes through a lush forest to Kuldihar and descends to Bamboo.

Day 08: Bamboo to Deurali [3230m, 3–4 hours]

From Bamboo, you trek through the dense and damp forest. The trail ascends steeply to Himalaya and passes by a lush forest. You reach Hinku Cave and descend enjoying beautiful views of Mt. Dhaulagiri to reach Deurali.

Day 09: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp [4,130m/13,545ft] via MBC [3700m, 5–6 hours]

After having breakfast, ascend gradually towards Annapurna Base Camp. The trail will get steep at some point. Passing by Machhapuchhre Base Camp, you reach ABC. You get to see panoramic views of several Himalayan mountains throughout the day. Mountains like Annapurna range, Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Gangapurna, etc are visible.

Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo [2350m, 6 hrs]

You enjoy the amazing sunrise view, with the highest Macchhapuchare and Annapurna range, then a short hike to mountain glacier. After having breakfast at Annapurna base camp, it’s time to trek back. Leaving Annapurna Base Camp, you will retrace the path to Bamboo. The trail will include a mostly downhill walk offering stunning landscape views. You reach Bamboo for night stay trekking through small settlement areas and dense forests.

Day 11: Bamboo to Jhino Danda [1780m, 4 hrs] Natural hot spring

After delicious breakfast at Bamboo, the trail ascends to Kuldighar. From here, you descend and walk along Chhomrong Khola. Further, climbing stone steps, you reach Chhomrong and drop down to Jhinu Danda for night stay. At Jhinu Danda, you will find a natural hot spring, where you can spend time soothing your body and mind.

Day 12: Jhino Danda to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara [830m, 6 hours trek] & [1-hour drive]

After having a warm breakfast, you descend to Nayapul. The trail will be the same as before and passes through Birethanti. From Nayapul, you hop on the bus/van and drive to Pokhara. In the evening, you are free to explore the bustling Lakeside Market and do boating on tranquil Fewa Lake.

Day 13: Pokhara to drive Kathmandu [1300m, 7–8 hours]

After a quick breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu today. The drive will be long and scenic. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will move to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to shop and relax. In the evening, you join the farewell dinner organized by the company for you.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory to have to join an adventurous trip in the Himalayas. It is for your safety. The travel insurance must cover things like illness, medical emergencies, accidents, death, trip cancellation, and loss of personal baggage & items. All costs for Emergency Evacuation must be paid in cash in Nepal unless an insurance company has agreed to pay all the cost on your behalf. Passport & Visa

Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)

AMS or altitude sickness is one of the main risks while traversing in the high altitude. The main region behind getting AMS is when the body doesn’t adjust to the lower level, and the result can be deadly. So it is very important to take proper measures on time. Gaining altitude with constant pace and proper acclimatization days will help reduce the chances of getting AMS.

Similarly, you also have to keep yourself hydrated during the trek, therefore, drink enough water and avoid alcoholic drinks as it dehydrates the body. If you are planning to trek in one of the adventurous trails of Nepal then do keep above things in your mind.
