Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary
Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu
As you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will get greeted by the representative of Himalayan Frozen Adventure. He/she will take you to the hotel that we have already booked for you in the advance. You get informed about the evening plan with some spare time to relax.
To welcome you, the company has organized a traditional welcome dinner along with cultural dance. You will meet with other team members over dinner and end the day with lots of laughter.

Day 02:Kathmandu to drive Pokhara [827m, 7–8 hrs drive]
Our Trekking guide will come to pick you up at the hotel at 6:30 in the morning. We start our journey by tourist bus at 7:30 from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Phewa Lake is a natural beauty gift for Pokhara, where we can see amazing Machapuchare and Annapurna at the northside, Dhaulagiri at the west, and Manaslu on the east. Overnight we stay at the Lakeside Hotel.

Day 03:Pokhara to drive Nayapul & trek to Ghandruk [1940m, 5–6 hrs]
After breakfast, you take a scenic drive to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek. From Nayapul, you trek and reach Birethanti. The trail passes through small villages and lush forests to Ghandruk. It is a beautiful Gurung village.

Day 04:Trek Ghandruk to Chhomrong [2170m, 5–6 hrs]
Leaving Ghandruk behind, you ascend through the forested path and reach Kamrunag Danda. The trail from here offers wonderful views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), Annapurna South (7,219 m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441 m), and Mt. Gangapurna (7,455 m). With a steep descent, you reach Kimrong Khola and walk on another steep path that leads to Chere Danda. From here, you drop down and walk towards Chhomrong.

Day 05:Trek Chhomrong to Bamboo [2310m, 4–5 hrs]
After having breakfast, you descend following 2500 stone steps. Crossing a bridge over Chhomrong Khola, you ascend towards Sinuwa. From here, the trail goes through the lush forest to Kuldihar. Further, you descend and reach Bamboo for a night's stay.

Day 06:Trek Bamboo to Deurali [3230m, 3–4 hrs]
From Bamboo, the trail continues along dense & damp forest that involves a few steep parts as well. The trail will take you to Himalaya Hotel and open up with fantastic views of a glacial river. Further, the trail ascends through dense forest and reaches Hinku Cave. The trail then descends to a river and climbs to Deurali.

Day 07:Trek Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via MBC [3700m, 5–6 hrs]
You will begin walking along a steep riverbed path and reach Bagar. From here, the trail gradually ascends to Machhapuchhre Base Camp along with offering stunning views of the Himalayan mountains like Mt. Annapurna I (8,091 m), Mt. Annapurna South (7,219 m), Mt. Annapurna III (7,555 m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441 m), Mt. Gangapurna (7,455 m), etc. Leaving MBC behind, the trail moves along Annapurna Sanctuary and leads you to the base of Mt. Annapurna, Annapurna Base Camp. Here, you get to relish panoramic views of the Annapurna Himalayas.

Day 08:Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo [2310m, 7–8 hrs]
It is time to trek back. Leaving Annapurna Base Camp, you will retrace the path to Bamboo. The trail will include a mostly downhill walk offering stunning landscape views. You reach Bamboo for a night stay trekking through small settlement areas and dense forests.

Day 09:Trek Bamboo to Jhinu Danda [1760m, 5–6 hrs]
Today, the trail ascends to Kuldighar. From here, you descend and walk along Chhomrong Khola. Further, climbing stone steps, you reach Chhomrong and drop down to Jhinu Danda for a night's stay. At Jhinu Danda, you will find a natural hot spring, where you can spend time soothing your body and mind.

Day 10:Trek to Nayapul then drive to Pokhara [830m, 6 hrs trek] & [1 hrs drive]
After having a warm breakfast, you descend to Nayapul. The trail will be the same as before and passes through Birethanti. From Nayapul, you hop on the bus/van and drive to Pokhara. In the evening, you are free to explore the bustling Lakeside Market and do boating on tranquil Fewa Lake.

Day 11:Drive to Kathmandu [1350m, 8 hrs]
After a quick breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu today. The drive will be long and scenic. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will move to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to shop and relax. In the evening, you join the farewell dinner organized by the company for you.

In the teahouse, we have to share the toilet. A single room is available in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and the lower elevation trekking region but might be impossible in higher elevations.

The Kathmandu and Pokhara have included only breakfast. During the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, all meals will be provided. In the Annapurna region, we can enjoy Nepalese food with international cuisine like Tibetan, Continental, Indian, Tibetan, Italian, etc. Throughout the trek, we have breakfast/lunch at the teahouse and Dinner will be at the lodge. Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)
AMS or altitude sickness is one of the main risks while traversing at a high altitude. The main region behind getting AMS is when the body doesn’t adjust to the lower level, and the result can be deadly. So it is very important to take proper measures on time. Gaining altitude with constant pace and proper acclimatization days will help reduce the chances of getting AMS.
Similarly, you also have to keep yourself hydrated during the trek, therefore, drink enough water and avoid alcoholic drinks as it dehydrates the body. If you are planning to trek in one of the adventurous trails of Nepal then do keep the above things in your mind.
